Rollover To Zoom
Ramon Cardova Rioja Rosado is a pale-orange Spanish rosé built from 80% Garnacha and 20% Viura sourced across northern Spain. Rioja's answer to Provençal pink: dry, savory, and mevushal for the caterer's Shabbos table.
Mood: Spanish, dry, kiddush-caterer.
Sommelier's note
"A working-class Spanish rosé with a serious tag on it. Strawberry, pink grapefruit, a whisper of herb. Mevushal, so the caterer can pour without worrying, and the price is right."
Tasting notes
Pale orange with aromas of fresh strawberry, pink grapefruit, and dried herbs. The palate is dry, medium-bodied, with red apple, watermelon, and a whisper of white pepper. The finish is clean, gently herbaceous, and refreshing.
Food pairing
Grilled salmon, herb-roasted chicken, Sephardic starters, mezze plates, mild cheeses (dairy course). A friendly Shabbos day and yom tov kiddush rosé.
