Muscat, sold as Moscato on most labels, is the lightly sweet, low-alcohol white that carries a kiddush - floral, grapey and easy, usually around 5 to 8 percent alcohol. Bartenura’s blue bottle is the one everyone knows, and it is far from the only one worth drinking.

Still and lightly sparkling, in white and pink. Good with dessert, good on its own, and the safest bottle to open for a table where not everyone drinks dry wine.
