Rollover To Zoom
Black Tulip is Tulip Winery's flagship — a full-bodied Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in French oak. The winery sits in Kfar Tikva overlooking the Jezreel Valley, where the team includes adults with special needs; each Black Tulip label is hand-painted art from the community's 'Don't Label Me' project.
Mood: Powerful, brooding, ceremonial.
This is the bottle you open when the table goes quiet — layered, structured, patient.
Tasting Notes
Blackcurrant, cassis and tart blackberry rise with hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, Mediterranean herbs and spice. The palate is concentrated and complex — dense black fruit, potent tannin, French-oak coffee and mocha notes, threaded through with an underlying elegance. A long, oak-framed finish keeps unfolding, dark chocolate and spice trailing after the fruit.
Food Pairing
Cellar-worthy company for Yom Tov brisket, prime rib, slow-braised short ribs, aged hard cheeses or a good steak. Decant an hour before serving.
