Rollover To Zoom
Chateau Edmus is a true Grand Cru classé kosher Saint-Émilion — clay-limestone vineyards on Bordeaux's Right Bank, farmed with the same rigor as its non-kosher neighbors. It is one of a handful of kosher wines at this appellation tier.
Mood: Refined, structured, Bordeaux.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant, plum, and violet on the nose, with graphite and cedar lifting from the oak. Silky Merlot leads on the palate — dark cherry and cassis in the middle, then Cabernet Franc's savory herbaceous edge and fine cedar tannin. Long, structured finish with earthy mineral tone and lingering dark chocolate.
Food pairing
Pair with roast rib, standing rib on Yom Tov, entrecôte, or slow-braised short rib. Beautiful with aged hard cheeses at the end of a Shabbos meal.
