Rollover To Zoom
Hagafen Brut Cuvée Rosé is a méthode-champenoise sparkling rosé from Ernie Weir's Hagafen Cellars in Napa Valley, made from estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Napa's kosher standard-bearer, one of the very few kosher sparklers in the world made bottle-fermented and traditional-method dry.
Mood: Elegant, sparkling, occasion.
Sommelier's note
"A dry Napa sparkling rosé in the champenoise mold. Strawberry, red apple, a bready yeast note. The bottle for an engagement, a l'chaim, or a serious yom tov toast."
Tasting notes
Deep pink with aromas of ripe raspberry, cherry, strawberry, and a touch of grapefruit, mint, and toasted brioche. The palate is bright and dry, with fine bubbles, red berry fruit, a soft creamy mid-note from yeast lees, and a clean citrus lift. The finish is elegant, crisp, and lingering.
Food pairing
Engagement l'chaim, kiddush toast, salmon and sushi Shabbos lunches, bar mitzvah brunches, dessert-fruit courses, cake cutting. Also a strong dairy-course sparkler with mild soft cheeses.
