Rollover To Zoom
Reserva de la Familia is the private reserve the Cuervo family has kept for themselves since 1795, and the world's first commercially released extra anejo tequila. Each bottle is individually numbered, dated, and wax-sealed by hand inside a collectible artist-designed wooden box.
Mood: Rich, storied, ceremonial.
Tasting notes
The nose is dark amber and complex: seasoned oak, toasted almond, baked apple, and a curl of cinnamon. The palate delivers rich oak, vanilla bean, dried fig, and warm cocoa framed by soft cooked agave. The finish is long, warming, and layered with baking spice, dark caramel, and a whisper of pipe smoke.
Pairing
A special-occasion pour. Serve neat in a snifter after a yom tov meal, alongside dark chocolate, aged hard cheeses, or a good cigar. Reserve for milestones (a birthday, a l'chaim, a bris toast) where the wax seal earns its place.
