The tequila that made silver a household pour, distilled by the Cuervo family in Tequila, Jalisco, where they have been making agave spirits since 1795. Especial Silver is unaged, bright, and built to disappear into a margarita or hold its own in a shot with lime and salt.

Tasting Notes

Fresh cut agave, white pepper, a soft citrus lift, and a lick of vanilla from the sugar cane blend. Clean and medium-bodied, with green agave up front, then a warm creaminess that keeps it easy to drink neat. Short, peppery, and clean, with a whisper of vanilla that fades quickly.

Pairing

The default margarita, salt-rimmed and cold. Also good in a paloma with grapefruit soda, or straight with lime and salt beside carne asada, guacamole, and mango salsa.
