Rollover To Zoom
Lovatelli Salento Primitivo is a ripe, sun-driven Southern Italian red from the Salento peninsula in Puglia — the heel of Italy's boot, where Primitivo ripens deeply on limestone-rich soils. Mevushal-certified for warm-weather table use.
Mood: Ripe, jammy, generous.
Tasting notes
Ripe blackberry, plum jam, and dried cherry on the nose, with subtle vanilla and clove. Full-bodied and round — jammy dark fruit up front, warm baking spice through the middle, soft tannin holding it together. Medium-long finish with lingering black cherry and a whisper of cocoa.
Food pairing
Pair with grilled Italian sausage, sliced ribeye, spaghetti bolognese, or a Sunday-night pizza. Great for a Shabbos afternoon lunch when the Cabernet feels too formal.
