Rollover To Zoom
Chateau Valandraud 2020 is the kosher cuvee from Jean-Luc Thunevin's iconic Saint-Emilion garagiste estate - one of the most prestigious Right Bank kosher releases ever bottled.
Mood: Right Bank velvet, special-occasion Bordeaux.
"A Premier Grand Cru Classe address producing a true kosher cuvee - the 2020 is built around 90% Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, full-bodied and built to age."
Tasting Notes
Opulent and expressive on the nose with black cherry, blackberry, licorice, tobacco, and pine needle. The palate is full-bodied with plush, velvety tannins, deep fruit, and a long, structured finish. Built to drink well now and to age 15+ years.
Food Pairing
Dry-aged ribeye, braised short rib, lamb shoulder, duck breast, and aged hard cheeses. Worth pulling for a yom tov seuda or a milestone Shabbos.
