Our sommelier says
Deep ruby-purple, nearly opaque. The nose is layered Napa Cab at altitude - blackcurrant and black cherry over cedar, dark chocolate, baking spice, a wisp of mountain herb. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with the firm but ripe tannin Ink Grade's volcanic soils give the fruit. French oak adds spice and roundness without burying anything. Long, dense, mineral finish. Decant an hour for current drinking; built to hold a decade in the cellar.
