Rollover To Zoom
Larceny is Heaven Hill's wheated Kentucky straight bourbon, named for the legend of John E. Fitzgerald and his pinched-waist bottle. Wheat replaces rye as the secondary grain — about 68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% malted barley — for a softer, rounder small-batch profile.
Mood: Soft. Wheated. Easy.
Sommelier’s note
“Heaven Hill's wheated answer to a softer pour — no brand-level hekhsher; unflavored bourbon is generally treated as acceptable per STAR-K policy.”
Tasting notes
Soft, light caramel and oak with a hint of dried strawberry and grain. Medium-bodied, with caramel, vanilla, cherry and warm baking spice. Medium, with brown sugar, mild oak and a touch of nutmeg.
Pairing
Approachable enough to sip neat; a natural in a Manhattan, mint julep, or a wheated Old Fashioned. Pairs with grilled chicken, smoked salmon and pecan pie.
