Rollover To Zoom
A Merlot-led Bordeaux blend from Univitis, the historic Sainte-Foy cooperative that has been making kosher Bordeaux since the 1980s. Soft-shouldered, supple, and built for the everyday Shabbos table.
Mood: rounded, easy, Bordeaux.
Sommelier's note
Mevushal Bordeaux that doesn't apologize for being mevushal — ripe Merlot fruit, gentle tannins, and just enough Cabernet bones to give it shape.
Tasting notes
Black cherry, plum, and a brush of cedar lift from the glass with a faint floral edge. Medium-bodied, with rounded red and black fruit, soft tannins, and a mineral undertone. Even and clean, with gentle spice that fades to a quiet, fruit-driven close.
Food pairing
A classic Shabbos lunch wine — brisket, roasted chicken, schnitzel, or a hearty cholent. Equally at home at a Tuesday-night dinner with grilled steak.
