Rollover To Zoom
Domaine Koenig Riesling is a perfectly balanced Alsace white from Dambach-la-Ville, on the eastern slopes of the Vosges. Koenig's commitment to responsible viticulture and low yields gives this Riesling real terroir character, and the mevushal treatment (under Beth-Din of Strasbourg supervision) lets it pour around a Shabbos table without fuss.
Mood: Earthy, refined, classical.
Tasting Notes
Golden yellow in the glass with a slightly pink tinge. The nose is subtle and fruit-driven, with real earthiness and terroir underneath. The palate is full-bodied and mouth-filling with an earthy, mineral core. The finish is dry, long, and classically Alsatian.
Food Pairing
A natural for roasted chicken, salmon, sushi, and quiche. Also handles a rich mushroom risotto, choucroute-style dishes, or a fully loaded kiddush spread.
