Rollover To Zoom
Domaine Condorcet Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anaïs is a kosher Southern Rhône CDP, a Grenache-dominant blend from the rocky galets roulés of the appellation. Named for the winemaker's daughter, made under kosher supervision for the French Rhône program.
Mood: Southern Rhône, meaty, cellar.
Sommelier's note
"A serious kosher CDP in the traditional mold. Red fruit, earth, leather, and smoked meat, wrapped in Grenache warmth. The bottle for a serious lamb roast or a milestone Shabbos."
Tasting notes
Deep ruby with aromas of red cherry, garrigue herbs, earth, leather, and smoked meat. The palate is full-bodied and dry, with ripe red plum, black raspberry, warm spice, and a savory undertone. The finish is long, warm, and Rhône-spiced.
Food pairing
Slow-braised lamb, grilled duck, herbed roast, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. A serious Rhône bottle for a yom tov main course or a cellar-worthy Shabbos.
