Rollover To Zoom
The dry counterpart to Kindzmarauli — Georgia's classic oak-aged red, made for serious meat.
Mukuzani is the appellation that put dry Georgian red wine on the map. Same Saperavi grape, same Kakheti region, but fermented bone dry and aged in oak. The result is a wine that drinks like a serious old-world red at a weeknight price.
Tasting notes
Inky red-purple. The nose lifts black cherry, dark chocolate, and a faint smoky note from oak. On the palate it's medium-to-full bodied with cassis, dried herbs, a touch of leather, and firm but ripe tannins. The finish carries spice and oak.
Pairing
Built for grilled steak, lamb shoulder, slow-braised short ribs, and any hard cheese on the table. Holds up to cholent and surprisingly nice with smoked deli.
