Rollover To Zoom
A non-Mevushal Merlot from the Judean Hills, oak-aged 18 months. Rich, plummy, and quietly serious — the Hevron Heights house style played in a softer register.
Mood: Plush, dark, settled.
Our sommelier says
The Merlot that proves the grape still has range when treated with patience.
Tasting notes
Juicy plum, black cherry, mocha, hint of dried herb. Medium-to-full bodied with rich, ripe black fruit, supple tannin, and a chocolate-spice mid-palate. Long, velvety, with dark berry and a touch of cedar.
Food pairing
Roast chicken, beef stew, mushroom kugel, lamb shawarma off the spit.
