Rollover To Zoom
Hajdu Zinfandel is Jonathan Hajdu's own label — the Covenant co-winemaker's boutique bottling from California ancient vines. Rich, dry, medium-bodied, and the wine that made the kosher California new-wave conversation start.
Mood: Rich, boutique, ancient-vine.
Sommelier’s note
“A Hajdu bottling is a marker of the new-wave California kosher scene — real farming, real winemaking, a wine that doesn't need to explain itself.”
Tasting notes
Ripe raspberry, plum, cedar, and warm baking spice lift out of the glass. Full-bodied and dry — red-fruit richness carries the middle, cedar and cocoa woven through, tannin polished. Long, spicy, with a hint of dried herb and dark chocolate.
Pairing
Made for the Shabbos brisket, grilled ribeye, cholent, or roast lamb. Also holds up to spicy Moroccan tagines.
