Rollover To Zoom
Twin Suns Special Edition is the wine that started the whiskey-aged kosher conversation — Old-Vine Lodi Zinfandel finished in empty sorghum whiskey barrels sourced by Rabbi Rabinowitz of the OU. Char, smoke, dried herbs, and vanilla. Mevushal, kosher for Passover, unlike anything else on the shelf.
Mood: Smoky, spicy, singular.
Sommelier’s note
“The bottle that turns a Shabbos meal into a story — sorghum whiskey barrels on old-vine zinfandel, and the mevushal status means it can pour at any table.”
Tasting notes
Char, smoke, dried herbs, and vanilla lift out of the glass, with warm baking spice underneath. Rich and layered — old-vine zinfandel richness carries the middle, caramel and maple from the whiskey barrels weaving through. Long, smoky, warm — the whiskey influence lingers well past the pour.
Pairing
Made for a smoked brisket, cholent, roast lamb, or a bourbon-glazed short rib. Also beautiful with a dark chocolate dessert.
