Herzog's Special Reserve Oak Knoll Cabernet Sauvignon Generation VIII is made from grapes grown at the Padis Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District of California's Napa Valley, where the grapes benefit from the ideal climate of warm days, cool nights, and crisp foggy mornings. Rich aromas of black cherry, tobacco, and cedar fill the nose, and bold notes of ripe plum and dark cherry melt on the tongue. One can detect an undercurrent of toasted almonds and vanilla flavors as the wine moves to the back of the palate. Serve with thick grilled steaks, rich stew, or dark chocolate.
