Within a year, demand pushed them into a real distillery, and by the mid-2010s Tubi 60 had become one of the most beloved spirits in Israel — spreading almost entirely by word of mouth, from Jerusalem's bar scene to Tel Aviv's nightlife and eventually to the US.

What's In It?

The full recipe is famously a secret, but the foundation is a corn-based neutral spirit infused with whole lemons and a blend of dozens of herbs, spices, and flower and tree extracts — among the disclosed botanicals are ginger, mint, turmeric, saffron, cumin, and anise. The result is 40% ABV (80 proof), so it drinks with the strength of whiskey but the brightness of fresh lemonade.

What Does It Taste Like?

Bright lemon up front, followed by a wave of herbal complexity — ginger warmth, a hint of anise, a clean botanical finish. It's often compared to arak or limoncello, but it's really its own category: sharper than a liqueur, fresher than an amaro. Fans swear by its uplifting, "happy" effect.
