Rollover To Zoom
Dalton Estate Grenache is a single-varietal Israeli Grenache made in the Upper Galilee by Alex Haruni's Dalton Winery. Long an early adopter of Mediterranean varieties in Israel, Dalton pushes Grenache into a fruit-forward, food-friendly Israeli style.
Mood: Bright, spiced, table-ready.
Sommelier's note
"A ripe Israeli Grenache in the Rhône mold. Red cherry, raspberry, a whisper of black pepper. Light enough for a chicken dinner, structured enough to stand up to lamb."
Tasting notes
Deep ruby with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, and a whisper of black pepper. The palate is medium-bodied and dry, with red plum, strawberry, licorice, and a warm spice midpoint. The finish is soft, gently peppered, and easy.
Food pairing
Roast chicken with herbs, grilled lamb chops, Sephardic stews, mushroom kugel, and Middle Eastern mezze. A friendly weekday-into-Shabbos red.
