Rollover To Zoom
Drappier's Carte d'Or is the family estate's signature Brut, drawn from Pinot Noir–driven vineyards around Urville in Champagne's Côte des Bar. Michel Drappier's kosher cuvée mirrors the house style bottle for bottle: generous fruit, quiet chalk, a long clean finish.
Mood: bright, generous, celebratory.
Tasting notes
The nose opens on ripe yellow apple, brioche, and a whisper of red currant lifted by the high Pinot content. The palate is round and vinous, with poached pear, quince, and a fine chalky spine holding it upright. The finish is dry, saline, and long, with just enough dosage (6.5 g/L) to keep the fruit forward.
Food pairing
Built for the Shabbos table and every simcha in between — kiddush aperitif, gefilte fish, roast chicken, l'chaim toasts under the chuppah. Equally at home with aged cheeses and a plate of smoked salmon at the seudah.
