Rollover To Zoom
Herzog Lineage Malbec is a California Malbec grown in Clarksburg, the cool Sacramento Delta AVA where ripe fruit meets fresh acidity. The Lineage line is Herzog's accessible everyday range — serious craft at a weekday price.
Mood: Plush, peppery, easygoing.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens with blackberry, pink and white peppercorn, tobacco leaf, and a savory game note. The palate is medium-to-full bodied with dark plum, mulberry, and a kiss of oak that pulls graphite and cigar-box spice forward. The finish carries the peppercorn lift through soft, ripe tannins.
Food Pairing
Built for grilled ribeye, smoked brisket, and pepper-crusted lamb. Holds up to cholent and shows beautifully alongside Shabbos kugel and roasted root vegetables. As a mevushal red, it pours with confidence at any table.
