Rollover To Zoom
The crown of Herzog's Special Reserve tier: a Napa Valley Cabernet matured in small French oak, built for the table and the cellar alike. A serious, structured Napa Cab that happens to also be fully mevushal.
Mood: Bold, plush, statement.
Sommelier's note
"A mevushal Napa Cab that doesn't apologize for being mevushal. Pour it for the guest you want to impress."
Tasting notes
Ripe blackberry and plum lead a warm, jam-filled nose framed by toasted oak. The palate is rich and lush yet soft, with concentrated dark fruit and a vanilla-and-spice thread from the French barrels. Long and warming, closing on cocoa, cedar, and lingering dark berry.
Food pairing
Made for the Shabbos and Yom Tov table: brisket, grilled or roasted meats, duck confit, and rich braised stews. Finishes beautifully with dark chocolate.
