Rollover To Zoom
The three branches of the Rothschild family — Lafite, Mouton, and Clarke — bottled their joint Champagne project under one label, and Royal Wine produced this kosher Mevushal cuvee from the same cellars. A Chardonnay-led blend with Pinot Noir, aged at least three years on the lees.
Mood: Fine bead, pale gold, ceremony.
Tasting notes
Brioche, white pear, lemon pith, almond skin, and a chalky minerality. Crisp and finely beaded, with green apple, citrus, and a touch of toasted nut riding a mineral backbone. Long and dry with a clean bitter-almond lift and lingering chalk.
Food pairing
Kiddush, smoked salmon, fried fish, sushi, roasted poultry, and the L'Chaim toast.
