Chateau d'Esclans Garrus is the apex of the Provence rose movement — Sacha Lichine's vision of a serious, age-worthy rose, fermented and aged in new French oak from a single vineyard of nearly 100-year-old Grenache vines. The rare kosher bottling brings one of the world's most celebrated roses to the Shabbos table.

A celebration bottle. For yom tov, a milestone simcha, or anchoring the most important meal of the year.

Sommelier note — Garrus is widely considered the most expensive rose in the world for good reason. Old-vine Grenache, blended with a touch of Rolle (Vermentino), barrel-fermented and aged with batonnage for ten months. Think of it less as a summer rose and more as a great white Burgundy that happens to be pink.

Tasting & Flavor Notes

Pale copper-pink. Concentrated, layered aromas of dried citrus, white peach, and passion fruit. The palate carries bright acidity threaded through glazed pear and pineapple, with toasty notes reminiscent of vintage Champagne without the bubbles. Long, vertical texture, creamy finish, rich spicy lift.

Pairing

Grilled fish, roasted poultry, sushi, lobster, foie gras, soft cheeses, paella, and any showpiece course where you want a serious wine that won't dominate the food.
