Rollover To Zoom
Drumshanbo Gunpowder is the Irish craft gin that put Co. Leitrim on the bar map. Slow-distilled in copper pot stills with twelve botanicals — including the namesake Chinese gunpowder tea — and bottled in a now-iconic blue ribbed glass.
Mood: Bright, botanical, oriental.
“A gin that tastes like its label — striking, layered, and impossible to mistake. Tea-driven citrus that softens vermouth and lifts a tonic.”
Tasting Notes
Juniper and bright citrus zest open the nose, with green tea, coriander, and meadowsweet behind. The palate brings warm spice, oriental botanicals, and a pronounced gunpowder-tea minerality. The finish is long, dry, and faintly grassy — clean copper-still character throughout.
Food Pairing
Serve over a clear cube with premium tonic and a wedge of pink grapefruit. Backbone for a sharper Negroni or a tea-forward gimlet; equally at home in a kosher cocktail hour or a quiet weeknight pour.
