Rollover To Zoom
Feudi del Pisciotto Merlot is a Sicilian Merlot from the Val di Noto, grown on the edge of the Sughereta di Niscemi nature reserve and aged 10 months in French barriques. The estate sits under the Castellare di Castellina umbrella; the rose-label series puts a Tuscan house's polish on a Sicilian fruit profile.
Sicilian sun, Tuscan tailoring.
A full-bodied Merlot with the warmth of southern Sicily and the structure of serious barrique aging — fermented in steel, then 10 months split 50/50 between new and second-use French oak, followed by 8 months in bottle before release.
Tasting notes
Intense red in the glass, with delicate vegetal lift over blackberry and a quiet spice. The palate is structured and enveloping — Merlot's plush fruit pulled into focus by the oak frame, finishing long and warm.
Food pairing
Grilled lamb chops, braised short ribs, roast duck, aged hard cheeses, or a Shabbos roast with rosemary and garlic.
