Our sommelier says
Medium-to-deep ruby. The nose is varietal Golan Cabernet - blackcurrant, dark cherry, a wisp of cedar and mint lifted by the cool basalt-soil signature the Heights give. The palate is medium-to-full body with ripe tannin and clean fruit, oak that frames rather than dominates. Finishes savory and gently herbal. This is the Golan Heights Winery's second label doing what it's supposed to do - honest varietal Cab from one of Israel's best terroirs at a sensible price.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant, dark cherry, cedar, mint, herbal lift. Medium-to-full, ripe tannin, clean fruit, oak-framed. Savory, gently herbal, clean.
Food pairing
Roast chicken, Friday-night brisket, ribeye, grilled lamb kebabs, hard cheese (after the wait), Shabbos seudah.
