Rollover To Zoom
A Berkeley-made love letter to California old vines, flash-pasteurized so the simcha host can pour without a second thought.
Mood: Built for a long Friday-night table where the wine has to keep up with brisket, conversation, and the cousin who shows up at dessert.
Tasting notes
Crushed boysenberry and black-cherry compote with a curl of cracked pepper and dried sage drifting up behind the fruit. Plush mid-palate of plum skin and wild blueberry, ribboned with cocoa nib and a savory undertow of garrigue that keeps the sweetness in check. Velvety tannins fade into a long, warm finish of baked raspberry, vanilla bean, and a whisper of toasted oak.
Food pairing
Slow-braised brisket with onion jam, Friday-night cholent, or a Shabbos lunch rib roast.
