Rollover To Zoom
Queen Esther Reserve is the dry-table line from the Hafner family in Austria's Burgenland, produced organically and bottled mevushal for kosher service. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the Reserve flagship — ripe Austrian-grown Cab held back for added structure.
Mood: ripe and organic-clean.
Sommelier’s note
“An organic Cab built for the kiddush table — mevushal, lush, and crowd-easy.”
Tasting notes
Stewed berry and dusty minerality with cassis and a hint of peppery spice. Supple, ripe-yet-dry, medium- to full-bodied with cassis, light buttery caramel, and herbs. Long, ripe-fruit driven with balanced tannins, cinnamon bark, and a soft talc-like minerality.
Pairing
Grilled brisket, lamb kebabs, or a Yom Tov standing rib roast; also strong with aged hard cheese on a Friday-night cheese board.
