Rollover To Zoom
Le Carillon d'Angelus is the second wine of Chateau Angelus, one of Saint-Emilion's legendary crown jewels and formerly a Premier Grand Cru Classe A property. This is the first-ever kosher release from the estate, a Merlot and Cabernet Franc blend under the supervision of Rav Rottenberg.
Mood: velvet, storied, milestone.
The first kosher Angelus. For collectors, an event bottle. For the Shabbos table, a Bordeaux Grand Cru that lets the observant world in for the first time.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby with a violet rim. Aromas of blackberry, plum, cassis, and violet lift with cedar and truffle. The palate is polished and layered, ripe black fruit, mocha, and warm graphite spice framed by firm silky tannins. The finish is long and refined, oak and dried herbs carrying through with Saint-Emilion elegance.
Food Pairing
A yom tov centerpiece bottle. Ideal with slow-braised short ribs, roasted duck, standing rib roast, or a lamb shoulder with rosemary. Cellars beautifully; decant an hour before serving.
