Rollover To Zoom
Chateau De Parsac is a Bordeaux Grand Vin from Montagne-Saint-Émilion, on the right bank of the Gironde. Merlot-dominant, harvested from ten hectares of south-facing limestone-and-clay slopes, and vinified kosher and mevushal for Royal Wine's Bordeaux program.
Mood: Old-world, structured, Bordeaux-mevushal.
Sommelier's note
"A real right-bank Bordeaux, mevushal frame. Plum, cassis, cedar, a whisper of graphite. The Shabbos bottle when the crowd wants French wine that drinks like it."
Tasting notes
Deep ruby with aromas of black plum, ripe blackcurrant, cedar, and pencil shavings. The palate is medium-full and dry, layered with black cherry, dark chocolate, cocoa, and a soft graphite minerality. The finish is medium-long, with fine tannin and a lingering herb note.
Food pairing
Roast lamb, brisket, herbed chicken, veal, mushroom kugel, aged hard cheeses. The Bordeaux answer to a serious Shabbos main course, mevushal-friendly for the caterer.
