From Chateau des Muraires in the Plaine des Maures heart of Provence, Bernard Magrez crafts this Cotes de Provence rose from 65% Grenache Noir and 35% Cinsault on clay-limestone soils. Pale, dry, and aromatic — a serious Provence rose, properly kosher.
Mood: Garrigue, citrus, sun.
Tasting notes
Pale onion-skin pink, with aromas of pink grapefruit, white peach, and a thread of crushed wild herb. The palate is lively and dry — red currant, citrus zest, a touch of pepper from the Grenache. Finish is mineral and clean, with a saline lift.
Food pairing
Built for grilled fish, salatim, and a Shabbos lunch spread. Excellent with chicken schnitzel, mezze, or a simple herbed pasta.
