Tasting notes

The nose lifts ripe blackcurrant, red bell pepper, and a soft note of graphite over a light herbal edge. The palate is medium-to-full bodied and structured, with black-fruit weight, savory pepper, and a fine drying tannin classic to the varietal. The finish is long and clean, with a lingering dark-fruit note and a subtle mineral grip from the terra rossa.

Food pairing

A natural for grilled lamb, herb-crusted rack, brisket, roast duck, and mushroom-heavy dishes. Also comfortable with bold hard cheeses.
