Tasting Notes
Black plum, dried herb, garrigue, leather, a touch of cured olive and sweet spice. Medium to full-bodied with dusty tannins, dark berry fruit, and a savory Mediterranean herb undercurrent; oak frames the fruit without dominating. Long and earthy with dark fruit, herb, and a gentle peppery lift.
Food Pairing
Lamb shank, slow-braised short rib, mushroom-forward dishes, Moroccan tagine, or any savory meat course where herbs lead.
Single-varietal Mourvedre is almost never bottled kosher — Sackton's Midba is the bottle for the table that wants a Bandol-style savory red on Friday night, not another Cabernet.
