Casamigos Mezcal is made in Oaxaca from 100% Espadín agave, roasted over volcanic rock in earthen pits, which is where the smoke comes from. It is a gentler mezcal than most — the smoke sits behind the agave rather than on top of it.
Mood: Smoky, soft, warm.
Tasting notes
Wood smoke and roasted agave on the nose, with a citrus lift. Soft smoke across the palate, sweeter and rounder than the category usually runs. A long, gently smoky finish.
Food pairing
Neat with orange and chilli salt, or poured into a mezcal margarita. Very good beside grilled meat and smoked fish.
