Rollover To Zoom
Chateau Valandraud is the iconic garagiste estate founded by Jean-Luc Thunevin in Saint-Emilion, one of the world's most celebrated Right Bank properties. This kosher cuvee is a Merlot-driven Bordeaux blend, full-bodied and built to age.
Mood: Right Bank velvet, milestone Bordeaux.
A Premier Grand Cru Classe address making a real kosher cuvee. Merlot-led with Cabernet Franc and Cab, opulent and built for a fifteen-year cellar.
Tasting Notes
Opulent and expressive on the nose with black cherry, blackberry, licorice, tobacco, and pine needle. The palate is full-bodied with plush velvety tannins, deep black fruit, cocoa, and a long, structured finish. Built to drink well now and to age 15+ years.
Food Pairing
A yom tov centerpiece bottle. Ideal with dry-aged ribeye, braised short rib, roast lamb shoulder, or seared duck breast. Worth pulling for a Seder night, sheva brachos, or milestone Shabbos.
