Rollover To Zoom
Matatia is Dalton Winery's memorial single-vineyard flagship, named for founder Mati Haruni and drawn from a hillside block in the Upper Galilee. It is the estate's most serious Cabernet, made only in vintages that carry the depth to earn the label.
Mood: Reserved, deep, flagship.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant, dark plum, cedar, and a wisp of tobacco. Dense cassis and dark cherry wrapped in ripe, well-integrated tannin and cool mountain acidity. Long, focused, and gently spiced with oak and stone.
Food pairing
Pair with a Yom Tov standing rib roast, brisket, or a slow-braised shoulder of lamb.
