Rollover To Zoom
Marquis de Greyssac AOP Bordeaux Red is a classic left-bank-style kosher Bordeaux blend — 50% Merlot, 30% Cab Sauvignon, 20% Cab Franc. OK-certified. The workhorse kosher Bordeaux for the weekly Shabbos table.
Mood: Classic, workhorse, Bordeaux.
"A textbook kosher Bordeaux blend at nineteen dollars — nothing fancy, just honest, well-made Bordeaux for the Shabbos table. Concours des Grands Vins de France gave it a bronze; you'll give it a permanent spot on the shelf."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-garnet. Nose of ripe plum, blackcurrant, a whisper of cedar and gentle sweet spice. The palate is medium-bodied and soft with lightly grippy tannins, red-and-black berry fruit, and a subtle spice thread. Finish is smooth, clean and pleasantly persistent.
Food Pairing
The weekly Shabbos brisket, roast chicken with root vegetables, or a mid-week ribeye. Also solid alongside cholent, burger night, and aged hard cheeses.
