Rollover To Zoom
Oak-aged step up in Bodegas Vizar's Castilla y León range — Tempranillo-led blend with Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in support. Kosher, KFP, mid-tier Spanish red that punches well above its price.
Mood: Oaked, layered, Castilla.
"Real Castilla y León in a kosher bottle — the Tempranillo drives, the Syrah and Cab fill in the frame, and the oak polish makes it Shabbos-table-ready without breaking $30."
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby with garnet reflections. Nose of black cherry, ripe plum, vanilla, sweet oak and a whisper of leather. The palate is medium-full with rounded tannins, dark berry fruit, warm spice and a subtle earthy tobacco note. Finish is long, warm and cleanly structured.
Food Pairing
The dinner-party red — pairs with Shabbos brisket, roast lamb, or a slow-braised short rib. Also excellent alongside chorizo-style sausage, aged Manchego-style cheeses and a Motzei Shabbos meat platter.
