Rollover To Zoom
A Cru Bourgeois Superieur from the southern Haut-Medoc, produced at Vignobles Clement Fayat's 25-hectare estate and bottled kosher under the supervision of Rabbi Rottenberg with Maison Mercier. A serious Bordeaux for a serious table.
Mood: structured, pedigreed, age-worthy.
Sommelier's note
Cru Bourgeois Bordeaux at a non-mevushal price point that still drinks like classic Medoc — graphite, cassis, and old-world restraint.
Tasting notes
Blackcurrant and raspberry rise pure and airy, layered with graphite, tobacco leaf, and cedar. Medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine-grained tannins, and a savory tobacco-and-mineral spine. Elegant and tightly woven, with lingering cassis and a chalky, lifted close.
Food pairing
Pour it for ribeye, slow-braised short rib, lamb shoulder, or aged hard cheeses on a Yom Tov second-day lunch.
