Celler de Capçanes is a Catalan co-operative that started making kosher wine in 1995 at the request of Barcelona's Jewish community, and ended up famous for it. The Peraj Petita Rosat is its dry Garnacha rosé from DO Montsant, next door to Priorat.
Mood: Dry, savoury, serious.
Tasting notes
Red cherry, wild strawberry and a stony, herbal note underneath. Dry and crisp across the palate with real red-fruit weight behind it. A clean, mineral finish.
Food pairing
Grilled fish, chicken, mezze, and anything off a summer barbecue. Good with tuna salad and with shakshuka.
