Rollover To Zoom
GRW Pirosmani is a classic Georgian semi-dry red from Georgian Royal Wine, named after the folk painter Niko Pirosmanashvili. Made from Saperavi grown in Kakheti with soft tannins and a lush dark-fruit lift. A friendly, food-loving red for the Shabbos crowd that prefers something off the dry line.
Mood: Soft. Fruity. Sociable.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts ripe black cherry, plum, and a soft note of dried fig over a light spice edge. The palate is medium-bodied and semi-sweet, with lush dark-fruit weight, a whisper of cocoa, and soft ripe tannins that keep it easy through the meal. The finish is clean and warm, with a lingering fruit note and a subtle earthy grip.
Food pairing
A natural for cholent, brisket, roast chicken, honey-glazed meats, and dark-chocolate desserts. Also comfortable served slightly chilled on a Shabbos afternoon.
