Rollover To Zoom
A traditional semi-sweet red from Georgia's Alazani Valley — the homeland of grape wine itself. GRW makes it Mevushal and kosher, so the kiddush table can pour Saperavi the way Georgians drink it.
Mood: Soft, jammy, ancestral.
Our sommelier says
Sweet reds done right — Saperavi character, real fruit, no syrup.
Tasting notes
Black cherry preserves, blueberry, sweet plum. Medium-bodied, gently sweet, with ripe red and black fruit and soft tannins. Smooth and round with a touch of berry compote.
Food pairing
Kiddush club, sweet kugel, brisket with prunes, and Friday-night cholent.
