Rollover To Zoom
A Rhone-style GSM grown in the Judean Hills - the southern French playbook run on Israeli soil at a weeknight price.
Mood: The bottle for the friend who loves Cotes du Rhone but won't usually reach for Israeli wine.
Our sommelier says
Medium ruby with a bright rim. Grenache leads on the nose - red cherry, raspberry, white pepper - with Syrah's darker fruit and Mourvedre's savory game underneath. The palate is medium-bodied, fruit-driven, with a peppery lift that's classic GSM and tannin that's resolved enough to drink tonight. Finishes savory and clean. The Judean Hills altitude keeps the alcohol in check.
Tasting notes
Red cherry, raspberry, white pepper, dried herb, savory game. Medium body, peppery, fruit-driven, balanced tannin. Savory, clean, peppery echo.
Food pairing
Lamb, grilled merguez, roast chicken with herbs, ratatouille, hard cheese (after the wait).
