Clos15 Cabernet-Merlot is Bodegas Pinord's Spanish take on the Bordeaux blend, mevushal and kosher for Passover, grown on 150-year-old Penedes plots that Pinord calls their 'clos'. A friendly, structured Shabbos red at a fair price.

Tasting notes
The nose lifts ripe blackberry, cassis, and a subtle note of cedar with a hint of soft herb. The palate is medium-bodied and structured, with black-fruit weight from the Cabernet balanced by round, plummy Merlot sweetness and a whisper of oak. The finish is clean and medium-length, with soft grippy tannins and a warm, food-friendly close.
Food pairing
A natural for cholent, brisket, grilled steak, roast lamb, or a rich Shabbos meat course. Also holds up to bold cheeses and slow-cooked stews.
