Rollover To Zoom
The Glenlivet 21 Year is a Speyside single malt Scotch matured partly in sherry casks, aged twenty-one years, and among the most collected expressions in Glenlivet's core range. Wine and sherry cask maturation places this expression outside the current KLBD, Star-K, and cRc kosher scotch lists.
Mood: Rich. Sherry. Collector.
Tasting notes
The nose lifts dried fig, dark cherry, cocoa, and warm baking spice over a soft oak edge. The palate is full-bodied and layered, with dried-fruit richness, orange peel, milk chocolate, and a smoky oak weight carried on a long silky finish. The finish is long and generous, with lingering sherry, cocoa, and a subtle spice close.
Food pairing
A collector piece served neat after dinner. Beautiful with dark chocolate, cigars, and dried-fruit-and-nut plates.
