Rollover To Zoom
La Reina Raicilla Ancestral is the traditional-still expression, distilled in clay pots the way raicilla has been made in Jalisco for centuries. Wild 100% Agave Maximiliana, adobe-cooked and hand-crushed, then double-distilled in the oldest way.
Mood: earthy, ancestral, terroir-forward.
Ancestral means clay pot, not stainless. You taste the earth in the spirit. This is raicilla the way Julio's ancestors made it, straight through to the mineral finish.
Tasting Notes
Bright cooked agave with earthy, mineral undertones from the clay still. The palate is rich and layered, sweet baked agave, green pepper, gentle smoke, and a stony minerality. The finish is warming and long, herbal and mineral, unmistakably terroir-driven.
Food Pairing
Neat, straight from a copita or small ceramic cup. Also excellent alongside grilled meats, salsas, and traditional Mexican-inspired kosher dishes. A conversation-piece pour after a Shabbos meal.
