Rollover To Zoom
Recanati Cabernet Sauvignon draws on Israel's ancient soil and long growing season to nurture fine cabernet fruit. Grapes are hand-picked, soft-pressed, and vinified before eight months in French oak. Recanati was founded in 2000 in the Hefer Valley near Hadera and is led by winemakers Gil Shatsberg and Ido Lewinsohn.
Mood: Smoky, spiced, full.
Tasting Notes
The nose opens on a delicate smoky aroma with warm spice underneath. The palate is full-bodied and dry, layered with ripe plum and blackberry, and framed by the 8-month French oak regime. The finish is warm and lingering, closing on cedar and dark spice.
Food Pairing
A natural partner for grilled meats, game, and hearty casseroles. Also handles Shabbos brisket, roast lamb, and a slow-cooked cholent.
